President Trump Welcomes Families of Attacked Military Members to the White House

Former President Trump stated on the weekend that he has asked the loved ones of a National Guard member tragically killed last week to come to the executive mansion.

He added that he spoke to her parents and they were “devastated”.

Background on the Tragic Event

Specialist Beckstrom, 20, was fatally shot in a shooting on Wednesday in Washington DC.

Her comrade, Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, is still in the hospital in grave state.

Vigils across West Virginia have taken place in their honor.

White House Call

The president explained he’s proposed a visit to the White House for the loved ones of both members of the West Virginia National Guard.

“I told them: ‘When you’re able, because that’s a tough thing, come to the White House. We’re going to recognize Sarah,” Trump addressed reporters. “And likewise with Andrew, recover or not.”

Public Reaction

Community members assembled over the weekend at Webster County high school in the state to remember Sarah.

Both they had been serving with the military unit as part of the president’s government program to support policing efforts in Washington DC.

Remembering Beckstrom

“Sarah was the type of pupil that instructors hoped for. She carried herself with inner fortitude, a bright grin and a optimistic attitude that encouraged people around her,” the principal, the leader of her previous school, told the press. “She was caring, caring and always eager to assist people.”

Funeral arrangements for Sarah are in the process of planning.

Judicial Actions and Policy Revisions

Officials have accused a twenty-nine-year-old Afghan national with a charge of first-degree murder and charges of attempted murder while armed.

The tragedy caused the administration to pause asylum processing and cease issuing visas to possessors of travel documents.

Condition of the Airman

Wolfe, a native of Martinsburg, enlisted in early 2019 and is a graduate of Musselman high school, according to the news agency.

He is still undergoing care and is “battling to survive”, West Virginia leader Patrick Morrisey said on television.

Attorney general the attorney general informed Fox News Sunday that she also intended to meet with the family.

Legacy of the Fallen Soldier

Sarah, from Summersville, graduated from Webster County High in June 2023 and enlisted soon after, working as a MP with honor, according to the West Virginia National Guard.

“She had a lot of goodness and she certainly had courage,” Morrisey informed the crowd at the vigil. “Though her time ended too soon, she has created a legacy that’s going to be remembered always.”
