I will overwhelm 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming bout.

Former two-time world boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making huge earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As both boxers engaged in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
