BF6 Battle Royale Goes Live This Week as a Free-to-Play Experience

Following months of anticipation, the BR experience for Battlefield 6 is officially releasing. The latest speculation claiming its arrival would happen alongside the new season were accurate. Players can dive into the action starting in just a day.

The New Season Adding a Brand-New Arena, Mode, and Weapons

In tandem with the battle royale addition, the new season is also starting. This adds a new map, a fresh game type, and an expanded arsenal. What's more, the Redacted Sector is being introduced. An featured trailer will become available at launch, providing fans a glimpse of what's to come.

Complimentary Structure Allows Battle Royale Available to All

Maybe the most significant announcement is that this new experience will be F2P. Much like established games, you won't require to buy the original Battlefield 6 to join in. Several participants have previously tried early versions of the experience. Those trials were run in a testing environment, which the developers described as their biggest community collaboration project.

The intense thrill while fighting opposing teams is unmatched in different BR game. It feels do or die, and you actually care if you die or survive.
Although I was a snob beforehand, I'm now for the battle royale since trying it.

These early feedback from participants have been overwhelmingly favorable. Naturally, the experience may have evolved over the last couple of months in terms of balancing and pace. However, first impressions are strong that Redsec could become a genuine rival to leading offerings. Players are wishing that the best guns from the base title will be available in the battle royale.
