In a bizarre crossover event that defies usual expectations, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Questline Revealed

According to the authorized statement, "An unusual meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where rumors of prohibited rituals and fearsome transformations reverberate through the shadows." The storyline presents a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine group.

The mission concentrates on "bizarre experiments and a terrifying foe" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Changes

The teaser highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer ends with a powerful scene showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
